CBA and the deductions are:
Employee annual payment = 1 day of salary.
Employer – differs and published.

The laws are ever changing but currently the employee can opt out to “PAY”.   That means, they are still affiliated but cannot access support from the union in cases of disputes etc.

Employer will always need to pay.
