California’s Pay Data Reporting Law Reporting Obligation

On February 1, 2023, the CRD published its updated resources and guidelines for compiling and submitting 2022 California pay data.

New! On March 24, 2023, TriNet implemented critical enhancements to our California Pay Data Report in Workforce Analytics to align with the CRD's updates for compiling and submitting 2022 California pay data.

It is your responsibility to file the California Pay Data report for your company.

The State of California CRD outlined in Section IV of the California Pay Data Reporting Frequently Asked Questions that under a professional employer organization (PEO) co-employment relationship, it is the client employer’s responsibility to comply with California’s pay data reporting requirements and to certify the accuracy of its own company’s pay data report.
