In Germany, fixed term tenure limits are stricter under the local AUG license. It is 18 months. Whereas, for non-AUG license employees the fixed term tenure limit is 2 years as per section 14(2) of the Part-Time and Fixed-Term Employment Act – TzBfG. § 14 TzBfG - Individual standard (gesetze-im-internet.de).
