Paternity Leave  – Israel

Fathers have the right to take the first 5 days following the birth of their child.

  • The day of the child labour is treated as sick day.
  • The first 3 days of the Paternity leave are considered as AL
  • The additional 2 days are considered as sick leave

 

He is also entitled to utilize additional week out of his wife’s Maternity leave entitlement. In this case, the spouse is entitled to be paid from the social security institution (but his wife is not).
