Notice Period for Slovenia
less than 1 year - 15 days 
more than 1 year - 30 days 
More than two years - 30 days, increasing by two days for each additional year of employment, up to a maximum of 60 days

Severance: 
The amount of severance pay typically depends on the length of the employee's service. Severance for an employee shall be calculated as follows:
1/5 of the base for each year of employment with the employer if the employee has been employed from one to ten years;

1/4 of the base for each year of employment with the employer if the employee has been employed for over ten and up to twenty years;

1/3 of the base for each year of employment with the employer if the employee has been employed for more than twenty years.

However, the amount of severance pay may not exceed 10 times the employee's average monthly salary for the 3 months prior to termination.

Due process of termination: 
Employer may terminate the contract if there is a valid reason for regular dismissal.

In the event of misconduct or incompetence, the employer must give the employee a written warning about the problem and the possibility of termination within 60 days of the employer learning about the problem and no later than six months after. The employee shall be given at least three working days to prepare their defense and thereby given a chance to defend themselves. If the employee asks for more time, the employer must give them up to 30 days to prepare their defense. The employer must make a decision within eight days of receiving the employee's defense. The decision must be in writing and explain the reasons for the decision.
